GTS
Brief
GTS Alive wanted to modernise and digitalise its entire ISIC student-card issuance system, including moving from plastic cards to a mobile application and providing a system to verify eligibility for partner discounts.
Solution
A team of developers and testers joined the project. They first had to take over a B2B platform that had been running for several years, understand it in detail and begin developing new features as quickly as possible. After the initial familiarisation period, the team also focused on extending the platform for B2C users: digital cards, Android and iOS mobile apps, online discounts and more. This forms part of a broader growth and innovation strategy aimed at increasing user satisfaction and expanding the platform’s market reach.

Project solution
Development used the agile Scrumban framework, covering both technology and business. We created a hybrid team of GTS Alive and BOOTIQ staff, which gradually grew to 21 people. Moving to PHP microservices and building scalable infrastructure in the AWS cloud helped ensure the system’s reliability and efficiency. We used open-source tools such as Prometheus and Grafana to monitor and manage the infrastructure. Mobile application development involved React, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch and other technologies, providing a modern, robust solution.
