Advanced Jira
Training description
In this advanced Jira course, you will learn how to work with issues, search using JQL and use search results. You will learn to import issues from CSV, perform bulk changes and work with agile boards. Together with our trainers, you will also cover components, versions and project roles.
The trainer alternates between presentation and live demonstrations in a running Jira application. Participants also receive access to a training instance where they can try the features during the course.
- The training does not cover Jira Service Management-specific features. Those topics are covered in other available courses.
- The training covers Jira Server, Data Center and Jira Cloud.

- Introduction to Jira
- Review of projects and issues – user profile, keyboard shortcuts, Jira administrator vs. project administrator
- Project administration – components, versions, roles, permissions and notifications
- Working with issues – moving issues to another project and deleting issues
- CSV import, workflow conditions and resolutions
- Search and filters – smart search, advanced JQL search, filters, filter subscriptions, bulk changes and saved filters
- Project methodology support – Scrum and Kanban, sprints and releases
- Reporting
